Wolstein Medical Weight Loss is a physician supervised program to help you achieve your weight loss goal. Under the precise care of our physician, Dr. Bowman, and staff, not only will you lose weight but you will also become educated on maintaing a healthy lifestyle.
Getting Started
In order to start your weight loss program, you will need specific blood work. If you have had the correct blood work taken in the past six months we will accept it. If you have not, we can provide you with the appropriate blood work prescription. Please give our office a call at (727) 787-6677 or email us at [email protected] so we can discuss your next step.
When you have the blood work we need, you can then schedule an appointment with. Dr. Bowman. During this initial appointment, Dr. Bowman will review your blood work and your past medical history. This is to ensure you are healthy enough to pursue our medical weight loss program. After the physician has determied you are a good candidate for medical weight loss, he will decide which supplement best fits your needs and lifestyle.
Medical Weight Loss Supplements
Our medical center offers two different weight loss supplements; Phentermine and Phendimetrazine.
Phentermine: A stimulant similar to amphetamine. It acts as an appetite suppressant, affecting the central nervous system. Phentermine is used together with diet and excersise, to treat obesity in overweight people, with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.
Phendimetrazine: Similar to amphetamine as well. This supplement stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure and descreases your appetite. This is a short-term use supplement, along with diet and excersise, in the treatment of obesity.
B12/MIC Injections
At our office we do provide B12/MIC injections by our Medical Doctor or Medical Assistant. The B12/MIC injection consists of Cobalamin and Methionine Inositol Choline.
How does the injection help?
B12: Helps your body use fat and carbs for energy. It also keeps your nerves and red blood cells healthy.
MIC: An essential amino acid that helps breakdown fats within the liver. It also helps lower cholestrol and prevent excess fat build up in the liver and throughout the bodys circulatory system.
